DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

New Zealand

At Wheelers Books we believe in the uplifting power of books to enrich lives.  A long established and growing company, with offices in Auckland and Sydney, we supply books to libraries and schools across Australasia.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative digital marketing specialist to be at the heart of our marketing efforts in New Zealand, crafting impactful campaigns, keeping our CMS websites relevant and engaging, and amplifying our positive impact in literacy and education.

You will drive the planning and execution of brand initiatives for our New Zealand public libraries and schools, using your digital marketing excellence to boost customer reach and engagement. 

Experience in the book selling industry, publishing, B2B, libraries or the education sector is preferred. 

We welcome applications from those who have the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven expertise in crafting innovative marketing communications and executing impactful campaigns across digital platforms (in a related industry preferred) 

  • Digital savvy with strong skills in developing EDM campaigns, website content management, local SEO and social media marketing skills

  • A focus on achieving measurable outcomes that drive business success 

  • A positive, customer focused attitude 

  • Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal

  • Demonstrated cultural competence and familiarity with Te reo Māori is preferred 

  • Content creation skills that build audience engagement and community (with schools, librarians, educators) 

  • Proven expertise in developing lead generation strategies (in line with brand identity and guidelines) to grow new business

  • Experience in Customer relationship building and collaborating with brand appropriate partners/ organisations

  • Familiarity with UX design and Google Analytics to optimise website performance, drive sales and enhance user navigation (preferred)

The position is part time (circa 25-30 hours per week), with flexibility to be within school terms only if preferred.  Work is primarily based from home/ remotely, collaborating with the Australian based Marketing Specialist, and regular interaction with the General Manager and local Business Development Representative.

You should be domiciled in New Zealand and must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to apply for this position.

Remuneration will be a competitive salary and business expenses will be reimbursed.
